Meditations

Below you will find four different videos which will help you to start your meditation process. Read each of the captions next to the video before you start. Then close your eyes and follow the caption instructions. If you are having a hard time with outside thoughts coming in, just allow them to come in, acknowledge them and let them just go by.

Fire Meditation

Fire. How does it make you feel?

Sit in your quiet space. Take several deep breaths. As you inhale you can smell the fire. Breathe in the warmth.

Visualize the heat from the fire relaxing your body. Picture the flames and the crackling of the wood. Feel the protection of the violet flame.

Let go of everything else around you.

Beach Meditation

Listening to the sound of the waves lapping against the beach and the birds singing can be very relaxing.

In a quiet space, close your eyes and take 3 nice long deep breaths.

As you listen, visualize yourself sitting in a comfortable lounge chair on the beach. You are the only one there. Picture in your mind how peaceful this looks. Feel the calm, silky air on your skin. As you breathe in, smell the slightest smell of salt air.

Babbling Brook

Water noise is a wonderful way of mediating.

Put yourself in a quiet space. Close your eyes and take 3 deep breaths.

Visualize yourself on a blanket in a field. Lying back, looking at the blue sky and beautiful white puffy clouds. Notice the birds and butterflies flying around you.

As you listen you hear a babbling brook near you.

Let it take you to a calm place.

Nature Meditation

Do you hear that? That's the sound of silence. Being in nature, in the forest, you can almost here a pin drop.

Close your eyes, take 3 deep breaths and visualize yourself in this beautiful scene with leaves falling around you. You hear the calm wind blow. The only noise you hear is that of nature.

Let your mind wander to the quiet. Listen to what it has to tell you.
